Thursday October 22nd at 7:15 pm Rm. 118 Sir James Dunn Building, Dalhousie University 2009 is the International Year of Astronomy (IYA), celebrating the 400th anniversary of great discoveries made by Galileo Galilei. In this show, which kicks off the three days of "Galilean Nights", there will be aparticular emphasis on Galileo's contibutions to Astronomy.
It is hoped that the great man himself will be able take some time from his busy schedule to visit us at the Halifax Planetarium that night. Let's have a good turnout to greet him!
Minimum age 8 yrs. (The presentation is directed towards adults).
Admission is charged: $5 per adult; reductions for families with children (8 to 15 years)
